Well, it may not necessarily be the world’s shortest yard sale, but it will be short. That is, I am going to be hosting a yard sale at my house, and it isn’t going to last for days or be highly publicized like the world’s longest one. It’s only going to be on this Saturday.
Here is the ad that I came up with for our local paper:
Find your treasure!
Vintage finds, dog crates and supplies, glassware, dishes, hand-made bracelets, jewelry, kid and adult clothes, grill stuff, scrapbook paper, s’more-maker, etc… It’s all here!
We may even have a good, old-fashioned lemonade stand! See you there! 🙂
Actually, I’m debating about putting it in my local paper. It costs $17 to run the ad for two days: Thursday and Friday. The last time I ran a yard sale ad, I queried my customers, and they all just said that they were following my road signs. I may just do signs again. There’s a $ General a few miles from my house. I could post a sign there.
I’d like to know what you all think. Do you think that posting the sale in the paper is a good use of advertising funds?
