Yummies at Farmers Market!

Last Thursday, I took Spike (the puppy), Princess Buttercup (my child), and we all headed down to the Huntsville Hospital HealthWorks Farmers’ Market, under the Tram, at Governor’s and Madison.

Cuppy from Mason Dixon Bakery. This is the one that I bought for PB!

Oh, wow, dear Readers…I’ve just got to tell you…It’s a smaller market, but it has got a lot of great stuff!

Case in point, I have never had fresher carrots in all of my born days!!! Those things were da bomb! When Lefty got home from work, I was like, “Lefty. You. Have. Got To try these carrots!”

There were cuppies, jams, breads, herb plants, specialty teas, home-brewed coffee (I’m going to have to go back for some of this!), etc.

The sweetest little boy was selling tea with his dad. He and Princess Buttercup kept giving Spike some of the samples. (Psst! Hey, Moms…there were lots of free samples!)

Local honey! I bought some of this and had it on my toast y/day.

Actually, I don’t know if I’ve ever had garden-fresh carrots.  Those things were da bomb! When Lefty got home from work, I was like, “Lefty.  You.  Have.  Got To try these carrots!”

I bought this big jar of iced tea for PB. It included a super-long straw so that PB could drink all of its yummy goodness.  I brought home fresh cauliflower, carrots (of course), zucchini, sweet potatoes, and some vegetable that I had never heard of that had an interesting, nutty flavor.

The people were so nice and friendly, and everyone had to pet little Spike.

We’ll probably go back tomorrow so that I can get some of that coffee and so that I can buy up all of that lady’s carrots!
