Keeping it Kind

When I read about Jesus in the Bible, I see Someone who is kind. Jesus hung out with people who were different from Himself: cheating tax collectors, prostitutes, different races, the outcasts.

There’s so much shouting going on in our country right now. People seem to want to have their voices heard so much that they keep shouting louder and louder and louder, in hopes (perhaps) of changing the other person’s mind.

Sometimes I think kindness gets lost in the shuffle.
Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.”

Even if you disagree with someone’s point of view, even if someone cuts you off at the intersection, my challenge for us all this week is to be kind.
Even if that means listening mindfully to someone whose views different from our own.
