How Nature Praises God

Trees rustle in Morning’s strong wind.

Sway high above, into bright, blue Sky–

Pale green against bright blue.

Leaves sing their rustling song.

Clouds quickly scatter,

Until Sky is clear.

The Birds sing.
The Trees sing.
I sing.

This morning is a beautiful spring day. The sky is a clear blue. The branches on our sweetgum trees out back are swaying in the wind– rustling, singing.

It reminds me of one of my favorite things that Jesus taught.

Jesus was riding a lowly colt toward His dangerous destination–Jerusalem, where His physical life on earth would soon be snuffed out.

A multitude greeted him, spreading their cloaks along the road. Rejoicing and praising God, loudly.

“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”

“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Some Pharisees in the crowd angrily demanded that Jesus make the people be quiet.

Now, catch what Jesus says. Listen carefully:

“I tell you,” he replied, “If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” Luke 19:28-43

Isn’t that amazing?

Even if the entire human race ceases and desists in praising God, He will still be praised!

Sometimes the we seem to be losing the fight against the Light. But take encouragement from this: no matter what, God is still Lord, and He will still be praised!

Bible verses about God and nature:<br class=”blank” />

“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:7-10 NIV

“Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. 12 Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.” Psalm 96:11-12

“Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God’s wonders. Do you know how God controls the clouds and makes his lightning flash? 16 Do you know how the clouds hang poised, those wonders of him who has perfect knowledge?” (Job 37:14-16)

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” Romans 1:20
