Remembering the Fallen on Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a bitter sweet holiday.

While we enjoy the time off, the holiday is for honoring the memory of soldiers who have lost their lives in serving our country.

It became an official holiday in 1971 after President Johnson signed it into being in 1968.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends (John 15:13).”

    • So true. We love those who protect us and want them to know that we don’t forget the fallen.
